Connect Sketchy to your AI assistant so it can search the Sketchy library directly, finding lessons, identifying sketch symbols, matching cases to your syllabus, and linking you straight to the material.
What does the Sketchy plugin/connector let me do?
With the connector active, your assistant can:
Find lessons by topic, organism, disease, or concept, and return the cover image, a direct link, and the course and chapter it belongs to.
Identify sketches from a visual description. Describe what you remember seeing, like "golden staff in the desert," and the connector finds the lesson and explains the symbols.
Find cases, the interactive patient encounters that test diagnostic reasoning, matched to what you're studying.
Build study plans that organize lessons and cases into a schedule mapped to your syllabus or rotation.
You'll need to log in to your Sketchy account to see full lessons or cases. Links the assistant returns open on app.sketchy.com, and you'll need to be signed in with access to that content to view it.

Ask your question.

Privacy and data
Sketchy receives the search queries your assistant sends on your behalf, your selected program, and basic request metadata. Sketchy does not receive your conversation with the assistant, your AI account identity, or any personal information unless you include it in a search query. Queries are logged for service monitoring and search quality, without association to any individual user or account.
The connector returns catalog information only. Your account details, subscription status, and usage history are not transmitted to the AI assistant.
Your use of Claude, ChatGPT, or any other assistant is governed by that service's own privacy policy. For full details, please review the Sketchy Privacy Policy.
For IT administrators
The connector is read-only. It exposes search and retrieval tools only, with no ability to write, update, or delete anything, and no ability to modify user accounts or institutional data.
Search queries and the user's selected program are sent to Sketchy. No conversation content, credentials, or assistant-side identity is transmitted, and query logs are not associated with individual users. What comes back is catalog metadata only, with no student records, performance data, subscription status, or usage history.
Please reach out with any institutional deployment questions to institutionalsupport@sketchy.com
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
The assistant answers without linking to Sketchy | Say: "Use the Sketchy connector to search for that" |
The assistant says it can't access Sketchy | Make sure the connector is toggled on in the current chat |
Lesson links don't open | Sign in at app.sketchy.com. A Sketchy account is required to view content |
The assistant asks which program you're on | Tell it: Medical, MCAT, PA, or NP |
Sketchy doesn't appear in the directory | Search for "Sketchy" in your connector settings. On a managed school or work account, your administrator may need to approve it first |
Search returns nothing for a topic you know exists | Try a broader or differently worded query, then send us the exact query you used |
Connection fails or the assistant reports an error | Remove the connector and add it again to refresh the connection |
